Equidistribution, covering radius, and Diophantine approximation for rational points on the sphere

This talk focuses on the counting and distribution of rational points on the sphere, with a particular emphasis on equidistribution in shrinking spherical caps. I will discuss connections to the covering radius problem and intrinsic Diophantine approximation. Based on joint work with Claire Burrin.
