Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) is a field that studies the behavior of conducting fluids in the presence of magnetic fields. It combines the principles of fluid mechanics and electromagnetism to describe the interaction between the fluid and the magnetic field.

In this talk, we first need to briefly introduce the MHD system, and then we will focus on the MHD models which take into account the Coriolis force.  In this case, the strength of the rotation is measured by the Rossby number ε > 0. And then under the assumption that the rotation is strong (that is when ε goes to zero), we can study the asymptotics of this model.

We will also introduce some references which use the methods developed for the rotating fluid system (also known as the Navier-Stokes-Coriolis system), and introduce some problems that are currently studied.
