Enveloping semigroups of system of order $d$

In this talk we present new relations between a minimal topological dynamical system and its enveloping semigroup. By using the Host-Kra-Maass cube structure we show that a $d$-step nilsystem has a $d$-step nilpotent enveloping semigroup.
